What if I don't know what to do for a Work Out?
What if you just don't know what's right for you? Some people are this way. They know they should be doing something, but don't know what it should be. Maybe this is you. If so, please listen on.
I assume that you all are smart enough to peruse the internet, to sit on the side lines watching everyone else at the club, to browse sports books in the library. But maybe none of these activities have occurred to you. If not, that's your first step. Get with being curious, going after some answers. Go get some inspiration over at the magazine store, the library or on the net. Find something that speaks to you and then run with it. (Not very much rocketly scientific, is it?)
In a day and age of always asking your MD before doing anything energetic, I encourage people to think for themselves. That's partially because I confess to being a doctor-basher, but also because there are very few of them who look like they've been to a club in their lives. This is deplorable! In other words, you are better off seeking your own answers most of the time!
MDs should be parking their Benzes in front of the club and doing a daily workout that you can copy. They ought to be there as inspiration for you. But are they? No way. Ok there is one at my club and he is proud that he practices what he preaches. He drives a gray Lexus and we all like him. But he is rare!
I believe that you yourself will know what to do after a maximum of one whole day of reading the magazines which turn you on. I like the ones with Arnold or those with body builders who are like him, but that doesn't mean you have to. Maybe you prefer the pilates variety or the running ones. It doesn't matter. Find one that speaks to you and then do the listening. That will take away your I don't knows.
The most important thing for you to do is to get a grip and get with it. You have got to translate a "what if" into something definite. What if you don't know? Well, do you or don't you? If you don't, find some answers and get them to work their wonders for you. Your body will thank you for it long before you can ever imagine. All you have to do is stick with it, kind of like brushing your teeth. You've read that in my posts before, haven't you?
