What is the Best Motivator for getting on the bike in the first place
Some people may find it obnoxious to be worried over what forms of mental stimulus are best when working out. That's because they just can't seem to get to the club in the first place. They know they should, to be sure, but that's not enough.
What does it? What's best for getting from sitting in front of the computer to running around the block or logging in twenty miles on the exercycle?
Some think its the good old doctor threat. That's when your MD says you won't live to see Christmas if you don't start exercising eating right , ie. losing weight today--March 22, let's say. Clearly they have a way of making this stick, even though you already sensed this a long time ago anyway. Its just that now that its been said, making it very official.
Friends, I don't know if this is all that great. Why can't s/he come up with something original--something I didn't know? (Yes I know I'm probably a doctor basher.) But I REALLY just know that when I was fat (OBESE) I knew that I'd never get a girl friend. That was enough and that was a very long time ago.
My feeling therefore is that this type of vanity frivolity reason (what you see in the mirror is what you and everyone else gets) is the only effective motivator. Have you got that in you? If so, admit it. That will get you to the club. Then you may even find an intereting counterpart there who's doing exactly the same for the same reason--maybe its even for you.
