Try CNN While Cycling
Yesterday I had a problem with cell phones. I said they're Ok while cycling, but just OK is not as good as being wholly into what you're doing. So I'm into the buy off thing, right? If you have to do so that you don't miss your workout, then do it.
But that of course is not as good as being wholly into what you're doing as you would be if you were competing. Then you would be 100% into it, trying desperately to be the first across the finish line.
That is not going to come for quite a while. You are not going to be seriously competing until you've been at the basics for a few years. So let's get real. How do you do the basics in order that you may eventually get into Grandma's Marathon in Duluth, MN to say nothing of just maybe winning it?
Friends, you must simply do your daily running (or cycling or swimming or whatever) everyday whether you feel like it or not. That's the same as brushing your teeth, right? You don't say, oh my its too tough today to brush and floss, therefore I won't. You don't do this.
I am suggesting CNN while doing your bicycling. That is way different than jabbering on the cell phone. Its more like thinking, which you can do if you're a swimmer or distance runner.
You have got to hang in there, never missing at the basics. Its just like brushing your teeth. The only trouble is that we're talking way longer--like at least 30 minutes, Therefore, having a realistic boredom fighter is essential.
